TWO PLUS FOURS – 1930 – NAT CARR – RARE DVD
In 1920 Paul Whiteman was leading the best dance bands in Atlantic City and New York City with a unique blend of jazz and classical tunes, and by 1930 was the top bandleader for the new ‘swing’ music that was sweeping the nation. In 1925 two college boys at Gonzaga University in Spokane, Washington who earned money by singing and dancing dropped out of college to try show business full time. In 1926 the two boys had a small act in a Vaudeville theater in Los Angeles and a couple of musicians for the Paul Whiteman orchestra were in the audience and mentioned to Whiteman that they were pretty good. Paul Whiteman met them and offered them a job with his band, and that is when the trouble started.

Director: Ray McCarey

Stars: Nat Carr, Thelma Hill, Edgar Dearin
