One of my favorite lines to open a movie about gold diggers is, “Half of the women in New York are working women, and the other half are working men.” Since the beginning of time there have been women who specialize in tantalizing and tempting wealthy men for the sole purpose of taking their money. “Gold Diggers” is the term used most often in classic movies to describe these women. Some wealthy men, fully understanding the motives of these women, enjoy the attention of the gold digging beauties and even encourage them. Some do not.
Platinum blonde actress Natalie Moorhead is Verna Wilson, and as our adventure opens, we discover that she has just accused a wealthy man of having an affair with her and won a fortune in a court settlement. The accusation is false, but the jurors take one look at the beautiful blonde and assume that because they would have an affair with her, he probably did also.
