Steve Lawrence, with guest Lucille Ball, and series regulars Charles Nelson Reilly and Betty Walker. This is the first episode of the series. This Monday night variety hour (without Eydie Gorme) lasted only thirteen weeks. It was the last show on CBS to be broadcast in black and white. Filmed in New York, this episode starts off at SardiÍs where Steve and Lucy ride an elephant down 44th Street on their way to the CBS Studios singing ñTogether Wherever We Go.î Besides the usual variety hour song and dance and sketches, Lucy shares some bloopers from her own series (which aired earlier in the evening) filmed at Marine World which highlights some difficulties working with the dolphins. About an hour, complete with commercials.
