NBC-TV 9/11/1982 – Debbie Allen, Steve Allen, Ken Berry, Carol Burnett, Sammy Davis Jr., Pam Dawber, Placido Domingo, Zsa Zsa Gabor, Robert Guillaume, Ann Jillian, Ethel Merman, Joe Namath, Donald O’Connor, Bernadette Peters, Charles nelson Reilly, John Schneider, Loretta Swit, and the casts of A Chorus Line, and Annie.   This special was subtitled “Celebrating the American Musical”, and featured songs from Broadway shows.   (Texaco Star Theatre originally aired on NBC from June 8, 1948 until its last show on January 6, 1967).   90 minutes, complete with original commercials.
