Young Mary is a country girl who is dissatisfied with her quiet unexciting life but after meeting film star Kenneth Driscoll she is enticed to try her luck as a film actress. However achieving success proves difficult and she has to decide if the admiration of a dashing screen idol is enough reason to stay in the city.
